Water Access
The ramp provides access to Jekyll Creek and the surrounding tidal creeks and marshes. The location is on the west side of Jekyll Island, near the Tidelands Nature Center.
One important local consideration is the ramp's slope. A recent Georgia DNR project description states that the existing ramp has been difficult to use at medium to high tides because vehicles have had to back unusually far down the ramp. The project is intended to improve the ramp's slope, safety and accessibility. Coastal GADNR
