Woodbine Waterfront Park & Boat Ramp: Satilla River Launch Guide
Woodbine Waterfront Park is more than a boat launch. Located along the Satilla River in downtown Woodbine, the waterfront combines a public boat ramp with fishing access, a floating dock, picnic areas, pavilions and the starting point of the Woodbine Riverwalk.

The City of Woodbine currently lists the facility as the Satilla River Waterfront Park & Boat Ramp and describes it as a double concrete ramp with a floating courtesy dock, paved parking, restrooms and free public access.
Satilla River Access
The ramp provides access directly to the Satilla River. The floating dock gives boaters a place to temporarily tie up, while the waterfront also provides shoreline, Pier and dock fishing opportunities.
The facility is particularly useful for anglers who want to launch in the Woodbine area and explore the Satilla River by boat.
Woodbine Riverwalk
One of the biggest features of this location is that the boat ramp sits at the beginning of the Woodbine Riverwalk.
The Riverwalk rises above the marsh along the Satilla River before continuing beneath the U.S. Highway 17 bridge and connecting with the paved trail system. The City currently describes the connected Riverwalk and Rail Trail as approximately 2.9 miles in total.
That makes the waterfront useful even for visitors who aren't launching a boat.
Picnic Areas & Pavilions
The waterfront has two open-air pavilions overlooking the Satilla River and marsh. The park also provides picnic areas and a boardwalk along the waterfront.
The pavilions are available for reservations through the City of Woodbine.
Fishing
Fishing is another major reason to visit the park. The waterfront provides access from the floating dock and surrounding park area, while the Riverwalk extends along the Satilla marsh.
Georgia DNR also lists the Satilla Waterfront Park Pier as an accessible fishing location, with restrooms and paved footpaths to the fishing area.
Events & Community
Satilla Waterfront Park is also the traditional home of Woodbine's annual Crawfish Festival, held during the last weekend of April. The park includes a small band shell in addition to its pavilions, making the waterfront an important community gathering location.
Overnight Docking
Overnight docking is not permitted. The waterfront dock is intended for public daytime access.
