Water Access

The ramp provides direct access to the St. Marys River, an important coastal waterway forming part of the Georgia–Florida border.

From this launch, boaters can explore the river and its connected tidal waterways. As with other coastal Georgia ramps, changing water levels and erosion can affect the end of the ramp, particularly around low tide. Georgia DNR specifically advises boaters to use caution when launching during low-tide periods. Coastal DNR

Location

The Blue Bridge Boat Ramp is easy to identify because it sits on U.S. Highway 17 immediately before the St. Marys River bridge when traveling south. Georgia DNR directs boaters to take I-95 Exit 3, follow Georgia Highway 40 to U.S. Highway 17, then travel south toward the bridge. The ramp is on the left before crossing the river. Coastal DNR
