Sidney Lanier Park is a small public waterfront launch at the foot of the Sidney Lanier Bridge in Brunswick. The ramp provides access to the Brunswick River and is located alongside a public fishing pier and waterfront area.

Water Access
The ramp launches into the Brunswick River, putting boaters into the tidal river system around Brunswick and the surrounding coastal marshes.
The location is directly at the base of the Sidney Lanier Bridge, making it an easily recognizable launch point. Georgia DNR's coastal boating information identifies Sidney Lanier Park as one of the public boating access points along the southern Georgia coast.
As with other Georgia coastal ramps, tidal conditions can affect the usable depth and ramp approach. Georgia DNR notes that coastal ramps can develop steep drop-offs at the water's edge because of erosion and changing tides.
Fishing Access
Sidney Lanier Park is more than a boat launch. The site includes a fishing pier and is listed by Georgia DNR as an accessible saltwater fishing location.
The pier is at 1 Coach Williams Way, and DNR continues to use the location for public fishing events.
Sidney Lanier Bridge
One of the distinctive features of this launch is its location directly beneath the Sidney Lanier Bridge.
The combination of the bridge, Brunswick River and surrounding marsh makes this a recognizable waterfront location for boaters and anglers. The nearby Georgia DNR Coastal Resources Division headquarters is also located at the base of the bridge on Conservation Way.
Kayak & Small-Boat Access
The park is also used for smaller boats and paddling access. A City of Brunswick planning document for Sidney Lanier Park identifies a kayak launch among the planned park improvements.
